A contemporary refuge where materials interact with light

The renovation of this flat, carried out by Grace Freni of Da-sign.it, focuses on a serene and timeless aesthetic, in which every design decision responds to both functional and emotional criteria. The main space is conceived as a large open-plan area connecting the kitchen, dining room and living room, allowing natural light to flood in through large windows and reinforcing the feeling of visual continuity.

The kitchen is conceived as a key part of the project, perfectly integrated into the whole thanks to a custom-made furniture design that combines clean lines and warm finishes. In this context, the splashback takes centre stage thanks to Kit-Kat Grass tiles, a ceramic covering that adds character, texture and depth to the space. Its narrow, vertical format creates an elegant and dynamic visual rhythm, while its intense green tone introduces a natural note that connects with the overall concept of the project.

The striated surface of Kit-Kat Grass is particularly striking with the linear lighting under the wall units, which enhances the reliefs, reflections and colour variations of the glaze. The result is a vibrant and sophisticated backdrop that transforms the kitchen into an expressive space without losing its sobriety.

The dining room and living room are complemented by light furniture and carefully selected decorative details, creating a cosy and balanced atmosphere. A project where ceramics not only cover the walls, but also define the character of the space and enhance the everyday experience. The result is a contemporary, functional and bright home, where design is at the service of well-being and where materials, such as our endless mosaic-effect porcelain tile, become key elements in giving the space identity and character.
