Fragmenta and Ima are a dialogue between color, stroke, and texture, where ceramics become a form of contemporary artistic expression.
Fragmenta is a porcelain tile collection in 20×20 cm format that reinterprets terrazzo through an artistic and emotional lens. Each of its eight faces has been hand-painted and digitally scanned, preserving the spontaneous character of the hand gesture while ensuring a faithful and authentic ceramic reproduction. This technique gives each tile an organic, unpredictable look, where imperfection becomes beauty.
The surface combines a matte base with a selective glossy application that highlights certain color fragments, creating a subtle and elegant contrast. The result is a living and distinctive terrazzo, perfectly balanced between background and fragment, transforming with light and bringing expressiveness to any space. Its Soft&Safe glaze finish offers a smooth yet slip-resistant texture, making it ideal for wet areas such as bathrooms or kitchens due to its easy maintenance, without sacrificing the artistic aesthetic.
The collection is expanded with the IMA relief, a white-body piece in 10×40 cm format, designed using the shades of the terrazzo fragments. Its fluted surface, composed of five concave grooves, introduces movement and dynamism to the wall, creating light and shadow effects that enrich the atmosphere. The IMA relief shares the same chromatic language as Fragmenta, offering visual continuity that reinforces the series’ artistic character.
To complete the concept, we’ve gone one step further with the addition of matching ceramic washbasins, also hand-painted, reproducing the same colors and gestures found on the tiles. These basins are not mere accessories but a natural extension of the design — unique pieces that bring aesthetic coherence and transform the space into a complete visual experience.
The color palette of this tile series consists of six trendy, fresh, and expressive hues — from soft, powdery tones to deeper and more intense shades. Each color maintains a harmonious dialogue between background and fragment, offering decorative versatility to create spaces with personality, artistic sensibility, and deeply human beauty.
