Swimming pools
Coconut Grove
This outdoor project reinterprets Moorish aesthetics through the use of ceramics, creating a swimming pool where geometric rhythm, colour and light evoke a sophisticated, fresh and timeless Mediterranean atmosphere. The combination of Greenland Frost and Greenland Teal enhances the character of the design with a perfect balance between light and depth.

This pool project, designed by Nathalie Capo in Miami, redefines outdoor space through a contemporary approach inspired by Mediterranean tradition. With a clear Moorish influence, the white architecture and clean volumes serve as a backdrop for a design where ceramics take center stage in the pool, bringing rhythm, texture, and character.
The pool integrates naturally into its surroundings, framed by vegetation and clean architectural lines that enhance a sense of calm and exclusivity. The overall composition conveys a serene aesthetic, where every element has been designed to interact with light and landscape.
The most distinctive feature of the project is the ceramic cladding that covers both the pool basin and the raised bench, created using Greenland Frost and Greenland Teal tiles. The combination of these two shades creates a rich and balanced visual language, where the contrast between the lightness of Frost and the intensity of Teal generates depth and dynamism. The geometric pattern, based on vertical stripes, creates a dynamic visual effect reminiscent of traditional motifs reinterpreted in a contemporary style. This interplay of lines brings rhythm and depth, transforming the surfaces into living planes that change with the angle of the light. The water acts as a visual amplifier, intensifying the tones and creating moving reflections that enrich the sensory experience of the space.
The choice of colours reinforces the project’s Mediterranean and arabesque character. The deep, vibrant Greenland Teal evokes crystal-clear water and adds character, whilst the lighter, brighter Greenland Frost balances the overall effect and enhances the sense of freshness. This combination creates an elegant, relaxing atmosphere that is perfectly in harmony with the surroundings. The design of the integrated bench and the stepped volumes introduces an architectural dimension that goes beyond the functional. These elements, clad in the same ceramic, become sculptural pieces that structure the space and give it its identity.
The slightly irregular texture of the ceramic finish adds a handcrafted nuance that connects with the essence of Moorish-inspired design. It is not just a decorative pattern, but a surface that interacts with water, light, and time, creating a living and ever-changing aesthetic.
Overall, this project shows how pool tiles can transform an outdoor space into a complete aesthetic experience. The Moorish inspiration is expressed in a pool that blends tradition and innovation, where design, light, and water come together to create a sophisticated, fresh, and deeply evocative environment.
