The passage of the DANA storm through the province of Valencia was devastating and caused numerous personal and material losses in many towns. One of the hardest-hit areas was Catarroja, home to the Alas Montessori nursery school. Its facilities suffered significant damage, compromising a space that for years has been a local benchmark in the application of the Montessori method.
In response, the school launched a renovation project that further strengthens its pedagogical identity. The goal: to restore a functional, welcoming environment fully aligned with the principles of the Montessori method. To that end, the school chose our 100% waterproof, highly resistant SPC Click&Floor flooring. Specifically, our latest addition, Rovere Miele, a solution that blends aesthetics, durability, and practicality. Its natural wood-effect finish helps create a warm and harmonious atmosphere in line with the Montessori space philosophy.
Its soft texture, honey tone, and the warmth of the material integrate coherently with wooden furniture, learning materials, and play areas designed for children's learning and movement. Beyond its aesthetic value, Click&Floor stands out for its ease of installation, resistance, low maintenance, and comfort — all essential in an environment where children interact directly with the space and flooring.
This renovation was made possible thanks to the collaboration of Sánchez Pla, a leading distributor in the area, who provided technical advice and supplied the necessary materials for the renovation. Thank you, Alas Montessori, for continuing to support the future of our society. We are thrilled to be part of spaces like this, committed to an education based on love and respect for the little ones, helping them find their identity and autonomy as individuals.
