White and wood: a winning combination to create warm and cosy spaces

The coffee shop chain El Condor Coffee Shop has eleven branches in the city of Mar de Plata, Argentina, and has been serving its customers with the best coffee and pastries for over 70 years. In this sense, the aesthetics of its premises must transmit a feeling of home, of welcome. Because to accompany means to be next to, to get together, to unite and to be part of a family and, for this, what customers perceive must be warmth, shelter, welcome.

And this is where one of the combinations par excellence comes into play: wood and white. Typical of the Nordic and Mediterranean style, depending on what it is complemented with, this union of materials and colours favours warm and welcoming atmospheres. The architects Charo Rodríguez and Omar Salik, together with the distributor Lecer, have given this touch to this branch of Café El Cóndor on the coast near Güemes in Mar del Plata.

White is applied on the walls with a combination of our Tabarca Blanco in 7,5x23cm format and a finger effect tile that gives dynamism and vitality to the whole skin that covers this fantastic cafeteria. Wood has been chosen for the floor and furniture, to achieve that pleasant and friendly touch that invites you to come in.

The result is very attractive visually, as the walls are very eye-catching, with those finger effect tiles placed as a border and our Tabarca porcelain tiles breaking the effect in the other direction, adding complexity and dynamism to all the walls, a result that we love!
