A bathroom aesthetic that evokes the atmosphere of a hammam

The renovation of this bathroom is the work of Danish influencer Nibra, @nibraswho became famous after winning a home renovation contest on television. For this project, our Remor hydraulic tile, from the Valencia series, fits perfectly with the hammam aesthetic that they wanted to maintain from the old design.

This sophisticated and carefully thought out bathroom design is characterised by a personal approach to integrating traditional elements of Arabic culture with more contemporary elements. The space shows a balance between modern and vintage, using a blue and gold colour palette that gives an elegant and relaxing character to the environment. The main design elements create a harmonious atmosphere.

The predominant use of blue on the walls and furniture serves as the basis for the design, conveying tranquillity and freshness. This colour is combined with gold accents, present in the bathroom accessories such as the tap, shower head and mirror frames. The contrast between the cool blue and the warm golden details adds a touch of luxury to the space.

One of its main characteristics is that the space subtly evokes the atmosphere of a hammam, the traditional Arab bath, thanks to the combination of decorative elements and materials that convey warmth, discreet luxury and a sense of well-being. This style is particularly evident in the shower tiles, whose vintage-inspired design recalls the geometric and floral motifs typical of Islamic architecture. The soft blue and pink tones are in keeping with the soothing palettes often used in hammams, which aim to create an atmosphere of calm and serenity.

In addition, gold details on the taps and mirror frames add a touch of opulence that echoes the metallic ornamentation characteristic of these spaces. The incorporation of wood in the washbasin countertop reinforces this aesthetic by adding a warm, natural tone, evoking the organic textures and tactile sensations prevalent in traditional bathrooms.

The overall design, with its transparent glass screen and carefully selected decorative elements, manages to reinterpret the hammam experience in a modern and functional context, ideal for everyday use without renouncing the charm and refinement of this ancient style. This bathtub invites the user to enjoy a moment of relaxation reminiscent of the experience of a wellness ritual in an Arabian-inspired spa.
