The character of fired clay, reimagined through colour.
For centuries, earth has been one of the most important sources of colour in Mediterranean architecture. Siena draws on this connection between material, pigment and fire to reinterpret the richness of terracotta and traditional ceramics through a contemporary lens.
The collection features six colours inspired by mineral pigments and Mediterranean landscapes. Lighter shades sit alongside earthy, powdery tones, greens and blues, expanding the traditional terracotta palette with a more contemporary range of colours. They all share the same material quality: the colour is never completely uniform, but enriched by subtle variations in intensity that give the surface a natural sense of depth.
The finish is another defining feature of Siena. Small glossy inclusions emerge subtly from the matt surface as they catch the light. Combined with the variations in colour and mineral effects, these delicate highlights make the surface change depending on the viewing angle, creating a visual richness reminiscent of natural pigments and earth transformed by fire.
Siena also plays with the perception of small-format ceramics. Each 14.7×14.7 cm tile is designed to create the visual effect of three individual pieces measuring approximately 5×15 cm once grouted. This preserves the rhythm, geometry and distinctive look of an elongated format while making installation faster and more efficient.
The result is a collection of small-format tiles with a matt finish and a mineral-inspired aesthetic, designed to create wall surfaces with a strong sense of materiality. A versatile choice for interior spaces that brings the warmth of fired clay into contemporary architecture and interior design through colour, texture and light.
